Gotta love students. How did some of these people make it out of high school???
“The International Gothic Style was a style used to sweep Europe during the late 14th and early 15th centuries.”
“Anywhere in the world people prefer to live in a locality where they can have maximum benefits. To maintain such a locality or place is all very important. Since, if there won’t be any pain taken for improvisation then definitly the people will try to avoid such a place which is not maintained.”
“The United States of America was founded on the principles of freedom of oppression although some feel that this has been a hypocracy throughout our heritage.”
“After the Black Plaque art became more realistic, natural, and holy.”
“The international gothic style was considered to be renaissance because it was a meaning of rebirth, which extended through the 14th and 16th centuries.”
Note: some of these quotes were from seniors. Holy Hannah.

Since I am mostly an online prof, I get very tired of weird grammar issues. I’m not talking about normal ESL issues. I mean issues of native speakers. There are three big culprits: strange apostrophe use, unnecessary use of quotation marks, and odd capitalizations.
My loving husband has sent me a couple of wonderful blogs to cheer me up after a long night of reading posts with these problems.
Apostrophe Abuse
Apostrophe Catastrophe
The “Blog” of “Unnecessary” Quotation Marks
Enjoy.
